Your donation toward the JOMAA Scholarship will help this scholarship become endowed. An endowment means this scholarship will be provided to students in perpetuity. While the fund is reaching the endowed goal, the scholarship will be available to award to student(s) each spring semester. This scholarship will be awarded to student(s) who have graduated from the Upward Bound at East Stroudsburg University.

This scholarship was created in honor of John Onukogu of Upward Bound, East Stroudsburg University Chapter. This scholarship will go to assist other low-income, first generation Upward Bound students who need additional financial assistance while in college. John couldn’t go to Penn State, get his degree, move mountains in a career, start a family and live an incredible life, but his scholarship may help other Upward Bound students inch toward that.

The PMLV Upward Bound Alumni Association has set a goal to have this scholarship endowed in honor of John.
